The G8 leaders failed to come up with a common decision to reduce greenhouse gases emissions.
That was predictible before and during the summit, and finally we had the confirmation. The USA, thanks to Bush, have no obligations in reducing GHG emissions within a fixed date. The leaders of the G8 ended to a compromize to reduce the global GHG rejections by 50% by 2050.
Angela Merkel failed to make President Bush more involved in global warming prevention. The US President declared the USA will host a meeting between the 15 top emitters countries and work on a global plan to limit CO2 and GHG emissions.
USA, China and India remain the main actors in increasing global warming level.
It will take place from 6 to 8th of June.
Globalwarming and climate change issues are gonna be “The subject” to discuss and to debate on. Many and important decisions are expected from this G8 Summit in order to contribute to stop global warming and consider more seriously climate change issues.
The major expctations are made on US President intervention. G.W. Bush
would tell how the USA are gonna treat the global warming issue and what solutions and actions would be taken and done for it.
China published an official document last week exposing its position toward climate change. China declared ready to reduce CO2 emissions and other gases rejections but not if these measures will stop its economic development.
Swedish Enviromnent Minister said that his country aims to cut greenhouse gases emissions by 30% by 2020, a goal 10% higher than the Europena Union one.
Sweden is leading the action to reduce CO2 and all kinds of GHG emissions, responsable of global warming, in EU and its ambition is to reduce them at least by 30%.
67 metric tons of GHG were emitted by Sweden in 2005, that represented a reduction of 7% since 1990.
An american scientific survey revealed that carbon dioxyde emission increased 3 times higher than the 90’s average. And this alarming situation isn’t stopping by this level.
According to the survey authors, this increase of CO2 is principally due to the rise of energy production and comsumption. The most alarming thing is that the level reached by carbon dioxyde emissions oversteps the worst predictions made in the past. Until now, there’s no serious actions or programs neither decisions to stop this dramatic issue.
Carbon dioxyde emissions were very important in the countries in development. The main part of the world concerned is Eastern Asia and especially China.
Last year, the developed countries were responsible of 60% of total emissions.
One thing is sure, globalwarming is growing and its potential damages are more likely to happen.
This is what said American President George W. Bush. Hydrogen is now considered as the best clean furel, especially for powering cars or trucks and offers a real alternative to gasoline.
The issue is how to produce hydrogen efficiently and store it for a large and continuous use.
Aluminium is a solution to take because, put with gallium, the melting gives pure hydrogen.
The cost of making hydrogen with this method doesn’t cost more than the production of gas.
And the most important thing about adopting hydrogen is that when it’s consumed and burned it becomes water and there’s any emission of greenhouse gases.

April 22nd, the World celebrated the 37th Earth Day and it’s another but not sufficient occasion to claim and inspire awareness of Earth’s environment and the dangers it risks such as globalwarming.
Awareness of Globalwarming or Globalwarming Awareness that’s what we need in these days where hopefully more people are aware of this issue and act to move things.Yesterday, in Montreal, Canada, there were 10.000 people in the streets to demonstrate and ask the canadian government to respect the Kyoto Protocol.

More and more other tv programs talk about globalwarming and climate change issue in prime time to reach the maximum of viewers. The Awareness is growing in 2007.
Also, tv on internet are encountring a lot of success such as Green.tv, developped by the PNUD.
Finally, things begin to be changed. The “Awareness2007″ is increasing in people minds. And Globalwarming and its consequences are now considered as a real problem that all of us have to face and limit.

“In which season are we? Spring? Winter? Summer?” That’s what people from Western and Central Europe and North Africa could be wondering these days after noticing the high temperatures registred in Europe and the strong winds and rain showers in the other part of the Mediterrenean Sea.
The temperatures in Europe are even higher than those in North Africa. Temperatures has almost riched 86°F / 30°C
Has Globalwarming to do with this weather instability?

According to a U.N. experts report on April 6th, the United States will be facing serious climatic changes in the next decades.
Heat waves, storms, hurricnes and wildfires are going to happen more frequently as a result of temperatures rise.
And more important, North Amercia water supplies are being reduced because of globalwarming. Globalwarming causes temperatures rise that lower water level through evaporation. Canada and the United States could enter in a dispute for water, the water that’s contained in the great lakes. A big majority of canadian population live close to these great lakes. Besides, a very small part of the US popoluation live nearby and that could heighten a potential future crisis between the two countries.
Amercian Awareness of Globalwarming should grow more and the United States have to consider this issue more seriously.

Globalwarming effects are coming, Awareness is short. We’ll have to deal with it !
The ice cap on the Kilimandjaro, the highest point in Africa, has been reduced by 80% since 1900. At that time the cap was estimated to be 12 km2. Due to globalwarming, it’s now only 2 km2. That’s amazing. Look yourself the difference between the two pics.
And because the Awareness of Globalwarming in 2007 is still short, the ice will continue to melt and the scientists predict that ice cap of Kilimandjaro will have disappeared by the year 2020.
Consequences would be dramatic on water ressources for people that live there.
Nuclear energy could be the solution to globalwarming. In fact, nuclear energy rejects few greenhouse gases like CO2, principal cause of globalwarming. This energy is used nowadays in United Kingdom, France and Japan. They use uranium as a source of energy.
Oxford Research Group is against this solution because of two mean reasons.
First, the problem of using this kind of energy to limit globalwarming is that uranium needed to be reprocessed into plutonium is not available in sufficiency on the planet.
Second, and that’s more important, there’s a threat that countries, criminal organizations or terrorists benefit from the growth of nuclear activities and the international trade of the nuclear material to acquire and develop material with military custom.
This solution is too risky to be adopted to limit globalwarming.
Today, March 22, is the world water day which theme these year is “Coping with Water Scarcity”.
The observation is terrifying : Every year 1.6 millions of people die because they don’t have access to drinkable water and 90% of victims are children.

An American atmospheric research governmental agency came up with a survey that shows that the winter 2006/2007 is the hottest since 1880, the year when began the meteorological measures. In fact, the temperatures regsitred are 1.3° C higher than the 20th century temperature average.
The past records were those of 2004 and 1998. In 20 years, we have registred 3 records of the hottest winters and the frequency is becoming shorter.
This increase of temperature is essentially due to globalwarming in the first hand (Greenhouse gases) and to “El Niño” effects in the second.
The United States of America are the most implied country in the growth of GHG and the more dramatic thing is that less than 50% of american people consider globalwarming as a big threat to our planet.
British Friends of the Earth association launched lately an awareness campaign that targets young people. It is only seen on universities.
In 2007, UK that represents 1% of global world population, rejects 2.3% of the entire world CO2 and the young british are the part of the population that is the less worried about globalwarming issue, according to a recent survey.
The campaign shows condoms that retains different kinds of gases emitted by a mufflers, a chimney or a plane reactor. A funny way to tell how to prevent globalwarming threat.
An association between Yahoo and Lawrence Bender, the producer of “An inconvenient Truth“, came up with a website to make Amercian people more concious and aware of Globalwarming.

A new survey by Hitwise, an american high-tech search engine consulting company, showed that internet users are more and more typing the keywords “Global Warming“ in their searches than ever.
Due to a considerable number of surveys about global warming and UN report, searches on the entry “Global Warming” increased by 173% compared to the last year.

For February 1st, the French association “Alliance pour la Planète” (a group of environmental associations) called all French people to turn off the lights and all materials in stand by for only 5 minutes, 5 minutes of rest for the planet.
The operation was held to attract the attention and raise the awareness of people, media and politics about the climate changing and the globalwarming that our planet is suffering.
Many monuments such as Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral did participate in this operation to alert people about the waste of energy and the emergency to take decisions and act to limit the globalwarming threat.
The action was also taken by national environmental associations in Belgium and Brazil. Emails informing about the action were sent to Switzerland, UK, Luxembourg, Canada, Spain, Italy, USA, Japan, Colombia, Mali,…
The Indonesian environment minister reported that around 2,000 isles would be swallowed by 2030 due rising sea levels caused by globalwarming.
Globalwarming is also responsible of a lack of rice production that’s predicted for the next year. Indonesian farmers are not used to a hard weather due to climate change.
Globalwarming threatens also all the Southeast Asia region that’s made up of some 18,000 islands.
Awareness of the globalwarming in this part of the world should be taken more seriously in 2007 to try to limit the danger and avoid very huge natural and human catastrophe.
Globalwarming is an average increase in the temperature of the atmosphere near the Earth’s surface and in the atmosphere, which contributes to changes in global climate patterns.
Globalwarming often refers to the warming that can occur as a result of increased emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities.
Greenhouse gases (GHG) are gases that trap heat in the atmosphere. There are two types of greenhouse gases: those which occur naturally such as carbon dioxide and are emitted to the atmosphere through natural processes and human activities and those which are created and emitted only through human activities like fluorinated gases.
Methane and Nitrous Oxide are the other principal GHG that are found in the atmosphere because of human activities.
All these GHG are ones of the principle causes of globalwarming. They result from the burning and combustion of fossil fuels (oil, natural gas and coal) and solid waste. Agricultural and industrial activities are the main sources of their emission.
If greenhouse gas emissions won’t decrease from present level, greenhouse gas concentration in the atmosphere and globalwarming will increase during this century and years coming after. Increased greenhouse gas concentrations are likely to raise the Earth’s average temperature, influence precipitation and some storm patterns as well as raise sea levels. However, the magnitude of these changes is uncertain.
